FPNA works alongside neighborhood, community, and environmental organizations across the Forest Park area and the broader Portland region.
FPNA is a member neighborhood association of the District Four Coalition (D4C), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that holds the City of Portland's neighborhood services contract for District 4. D4C provides administrative, technical, and communications support to its member NAs.
FPNA was previously a member of Neighbors West-Northwest (NWNW), one of Portland's historical neighborhood coalitions. As part of the City of Portland's transition to a district-based council, NWNW reorganized as the District Four Coalition.
D4C represents a vibrant alliance of 32 neighborhoods in the heart of Portland spanning the entire west side of the city, extending from Linnton and Forest Park, through the Northwest District and the west hills, into downtown, and reaching the southern boundaries of the city. On the east side of the Willamette River, the 4th District also encompasses the picturesque neighborhoods of Reed, Eastmoreland, Ardenwald, and Sellwood.
