West Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District is hosting a free Wildfire-Ready Workshop at the Skyline Grange on Saturday, September 19, 8:30 a.m.–3:15 p.m. The information is directly relevant to FPNA residents and to our Forest Park North and South Firewise neighborhoods.

The day runs three rotating sessions:

– Your Home Can Survive a Wildfire — home hardening and defensible space

– Plan Your Escape — evacuation and emergency notifications

– Sustain a Resilient Landscape — fuels reduction

The workshop is free and includes lunch, and is co-hosted by WMSWCD, Skyline Grange, the Skyline Ridge Neighborhood Association, the Oregon State Fire Marshal, Portland Fire & Rescue, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, and Multnomah County Emergency Management.
